Ponte di Legno
Ponte di Legno
Over the years, the sophisticated and elegant town of Ponte di Legno has retained all the charm of a mountain village. The silence and magic of the place hold an irresistible appeal for visitors looking to immerse themselves in nature.
Ponte di Legno is one of Italy’s oldest and most important ski resorts, nestled on a vast, sunlit plateau at 1200 metres above sea level. The town, considered the undisputed capital of the Upper Camonica Valley, is a hub for alpine tourism that thrives in both summer and winter.
It forms part of the Adamello ski area, which offers over 120 km of ski slopes catering to various skill levels in winter, connected to the slopes in the Temù, Presena Glacier and Passo Tonale ski area. The 8 slopes are served by 5 ski lifts and are equipped with programmed snow machines. A gondola lift connects Ponte di Legno to Passo Tonale in just 14 minutes, offering breathtaking mountain views over the Upper Camonica Valley.
In summer, Ponte di Legno is the ideal starting point for magnificent walks and mountain bike rides in the Adamello-Presanella range, the Stelvio National Park, and the Adamello Park.
Golf lovers can experience the thrill of playing on a splendid course at the foot of Cima Salimmo in Valbione, at 1530 metres above sea level, surrounded by the woods of the Adamello Park. Another exhilarating option is the Railzip, open in both summer and winter, which offers visitors the chance to soar above the slopes.
The charming pedestrian precinct offers a wide range of services: shopping in on-trend boutiques, aperitifs in the heart of town, and restaurants where you can savour typical and traditional products local to the Camonica Valley.
